Posters and presentations
Let attendees scan an agenda, registration form, or supporting resource during an event.

Business cards and packaging
Link to a portfolio, contact page, or instructions where print space is limited.
QR code or printed URL?
A QR code is convenient for phone cameras, while a short printed URL remains usable when scanning is unavailable. Consider showing both and test the final size, distance, and several phones before publication.
Connect offline scans to a manageable link
QR codes work well on event posters, table signs, business cards, slides, and in-store displays. PeekURL creates a short link first and then provides a downloadable QR code for that same destination.
A scan still opens the underlying short link, so expiry, active status, and safety rules continue to apply. Signed-in users can review aggregate clicks generated after scans without installing tracking software in the QR image.
From destination to QR code
- 01
Create the short link
Enter an event, menu, form, or content URL and select an appropriate expiry.
- 02
Open and download
Open the generated QR code and download the image for print or digital material.
- 03
Test a real scan
Before publishing, test multiple phones, the final size and contrast, and whether the link lasts through the campaign.
Printing and expiry notes
- The QR image does not expire by itself, but its PeekURL destination can expire, be disabled, or be deleted.
- Leave sufficient quiet space and contrast, and test the actual printed size at the intended distance.
- For long-running materials, sign in and choose an expiry that covers the full campaign.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
You can create a short link without signing in; sign-in unlocks link management and analytics.
Can a QR code expire?
The QR image stays the same, but its destination link may expire or be disabled.
Does scanning count as a click?
Yes. Opening the short link after a scan records a click that appears in aggregate analytics for signed-in owners.
Will an already printed QR code update?
No. A newly created short link has a different QR code, so existing printed material does not update automatically.
