Events and forms
Create an entry point for an event page, survey, menu, or registration form that is easier to copy and say aloud.
Destination confirmation
Enable the preview page so visitors can confirm the external address before leaving PeekURL.
When should you use the original URL?
An original URL exposes its domain and works well in formal documents. A short URL is useful when space, QR codes, management, or click reporting matter. Shortening never changes the destination and does not replace checking whether an external site is trustworthy.
When is a short URL useful?
Long addresses with tracking parameters, encoded text, or deep paths are difficult to read in messages, social posts, and presentations. PeekURL keeps the original destination while giving you a cleaner link to share.
You can choose an expiry and an optional confirmation page when creating a link. Sign in to manage its status, download a QR code, and review aggregate click activity, or create a temporary link without an account.
How link creation works
- 01
Enter a public URL
Provide an HTTP or HTTPS destination. Local, private-network, and unresolvable hosts are rejected.
- 02
Complete a safety check
Google Web Risk checks known threats before creation; an unavailable check is not silently bypassed.
- 03
Share and measure
Copy the short URL or QR code, then sign in to review trends, referrers, and device breakdowns.
What to know before sharing
- A short URL does not change the destination or guarantee that an external website will remain safe.
- Expired, disabled, or deleted links show an unavailable page instead of redirecting.
- Phishing, malware, spam, and other illegal or abusive uses are not permitted.
